The more I heard, "You'll have to go offshore" the more determined I was to manufacture in Australia.

Manufacturing locally has very attractive features. It means I can work closely with my makers to fine tune details and I can readily oversee quality and timeliness – in short – ensure I never disappoint a customer because I am too far removed from the process.

The benefits in jobs created, local suppliers supported, taxes paid flow through to the whole Australian economy and I wanted GLAMWRAP to make that contribution.

Ethics in clothing manufacture is now under the spotlight. We are big supporters of moves to give customers a deeper understanding of the garment supply chain, so they can make informed choices about what to buy.

Our soft, superfine merino wool is from farms across Australia. The wool is milled in Melbourne under ISO14001 environmental management accreditation, and the fabrics and travel pouches are cut, sewn and finished in Adelaide.

Wherever possible we support Australian businesses for our supplies. Our boxes, travel pouch printing, web and graphic design, printing and consumables are all done in Australia.
